Day Practice

Overview

The Fitzroy Legal Service has a day-time legal practice which provides legal advice and legal representation (such as going to court).

We specialise in:

• criminal charges
• driving offences
• intervention orders
• divorce proceedings
  

This is not a drop-in service. To make an appointment, please contact 9419 3744

Please bring as much supporting documentation as you can. You will meet with a qualified solicitor who will make an initial assessment of your case and see if you qualify for legal aid.

Catchment

There are no catchment limitations for clients using our day-time practice.

Cost

In your initial meeting with us, we will work out if you qualify for Legal Aid. If you do, there will be no charge to you for our services.

If you are not eligible for Legal Aid, we can represent you on a fee-paying basis. Our rates are very competitive and affordable.

The day-time legal practice team are located in the Fitzroy Legal Service office at 124 Johnston Street, Fitzroy.

Volunteering

If you have paralegal experience or would like to gain paralegal experience, you might want to volunteer with the day-time practice.
