Family Law Clinic

Overview

Fitzroy Legal Service has a free Family Law Clinic specialising in free legal advice on family law issues. The service is available on Thursday nights from 6.30pm to 9.00pm by appointments. All volunteer solicitors are certified to give legal advice.

This is not a drop-in service. To make an appointment, please contact us on 9419 3744.

Please bring as much supporting documentation as you can. You will meet with a paralegal volunteer who will make an initial assessment of your case before you see a solicitor.

Cases requiring legal representation may be referred to our day-time legal practice.

Catchment

To be eligible for this service you must live, work or study in:

• Abbotsford
• Brunswick
• Carlton
• Clifton Hill
• Collingwood
• East Melbourne
• Fitzroy
• North Fitzroy, or
• Richmond.

Cost

There is no cost.

The Family Law Clinic is located in the Fitzroy Legal Service office at 124 Johnston Street, Fitzroy.

Volunteering

We do not accept volunteers for the Family Law Clinic, as it is a limited service.
