Richmond Outreach
Overview
Fitzroy Legal Service has a free legal advice (Richmond Outreach) service through the North Richmond Community Health Centre, once a week on Tuesday evening starting at 6.30pm by appointment only. Please call 9419 3744 for appointments. All volunteer solicitors are certified to give legal advice.
Please bring as much supporting documentation as you can. You will meet with a paralegal volunteer who will make an initial assessment of your case before you see a solicitor.
Cases requiring legal representation may be referred to our day-time legal practice.
Catchment
To be eligible for this service you must live, work or study in:
- Abbotsford
- Brunswick
- Carlton
- Clifton Hill
- Collingwood
- East Melbourne
- Fitzroy
- North Fitzroy, or
- Richmond.
Cost
There is no cost.

The Richmond Outreach runs out of the North Yarra Community Health Centre, 23 Lennox Street , North Richmond 3121
Volunteering
If you want to even up the imbalances and inequities in the legal system and provide advice and support to people who don't always have the money to pay for it, you might want to volunteer with the night service.
Volunteers can be:
- Barristers or solicitors,
- Paralegals, and
- Law students.
