Appointments run from 6.30 p.m. This clinic was developed in response to community demand for specialist legal advice and capacity building around legal issues affecting LGBTIQ communities; in particular, issues around family law matters.
  • Animal law: in partnership with Lawyers for Animals, we run an animal law legal advice clinic every Friday night. An appointment is required. Appointments run from 6.30 p.m. The clinic provides advice on animal law issues including dog bites, attacks or rushing, restricted dog breed declarations, council powers to seize or dispose of dogs and cats, complaints about the conduct or services provided by a veterinarian or dog groomer, and disputes about ownership of an animal. The clinic does not provide advice about animal cruelty charges, the governance of animal advocacy groups, assistance animals or advocacy (e.g., submissions or policy work).
