Strategic Review of Darebin Community Legal Centre and Fitzroy Legal Service
The governing bodies of Fitzroy Legal Service (FLS) and Darebin Community Legal Centre (DCLC) have collaborated on a project which involved a strategic review of both organisations.
The project reviewed current services and organisational sustainability, and assessed the feasibility of models that could transform how the two CLCs collaboratively deliver legal assistance services to the northern region of Melbourne. A consultant, Cath Whelan, was engaged to work with both organisations throughout this project and a copy of their final report, provided to FLS and DCLC in February 2017, is available here.
In February 2017 the FLS Board and DCLC Committee of Management adopted Cath Whelan’s report and decided to commence discussions to amalgamate the two CLCs. An update the amalgamation progress, as at December 2017, can be found here.
